JR Hayes, age 65 passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 at his home in W. Harrison, IN. Born February 26, 1949 in Hazard, KY he was the son of Marcus Sr. & Viola (Spicer) Hayes. JR is survived by his wife Diane Brown, his children Scott (Gina Adams) Hayes of Harrison, OH; Jason (Jamie) Brown of W. Harrison, IN and Shelly (Randy) Jung of Harrison, OH. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Matthew Hayes, Sarah Hayes, Brandon Adams, Halie Adams, Hailey Jung, Kira Brown, Zaiden Brown & Averie Brown and his siblings Jackie (Rickey Mayou) Noble of Brookville, IN; Brenda (Charles) Winkelman of St. Leon, IN; Connie (John Landers) Offill of St. Leon, IN; Ruby Wright of Georgia, Barbara Offill of W. Harrison, IN; Lois (Merl) Boggs of W. Harrison, IN and Mildred (Darrell) Spicer of W. Harrison, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Shannon Hayes and siblings Carl Hayes, Sam Hayes, Buster Hayes and a set of twins that died at birth. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 5-7pm followed by services at 7pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Tony Spicer officiating. Memorials are suggested to the family c/o the funeral home.
