Josie Roope

Josie Roope (nee Broughton), age 59 years of Bright, IN passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 in Harrison, OH. Born August 28, 1950 in Batesville, IN she was the daughter of the late Lee & Elle (Smith) Broughton. She graduated from Sunman High School and married Barry Roope on December 12, 1971 in New Trenton, IN. Mrs. Roope is survived by her husband Barry Roope, sons Blake (Elaine) Roope of Sunman, IN; Micahel (Regina) Roope of Lawrenceburg, IN & Chris (Jamie) Roope of Sunman, IN; siblings Carl, Randy (Phyllis), Leroy, Charles (Lovetta), Buford (Karen), & Jim (Sharon) Broughton, Viola (Denver) Mills, Delores Allen & Oda Vogt. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Savannah, Madison & Alexander. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Bill & Russell Broughton. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from 11am 1pm followed by services at 1pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Pastor Sterling Cauble officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison, OH. Memorials are suggested to the family with appreciation.
