John H. Singleton

John H. Singleton, age 79, of Harrison, OH passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2005 in Harrison, OH. Born August 6, 1925 in Springdale, OH the son of Edward & Sarah (Drew) Singleton. He was a US Marine Veteran of WWII, lifetime member of the VFW, a retired school teacher in Florida & Ohio and coached football and basketball at Ross High School and Talawanda High School. Mr. Singleton is survived by his wife Marilyn (Pottenger) Singleton, children John (Holly) Singleton of Liberty Twp, OH; Edward (Leta) Singleton of Richmond, KY and Donna (William) Grigsby of Shelbyville, KY; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters Martha Morres of Mt. Airy, GA and Honey Lou Fischer of Pasadena, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be Saturday, March 5, 2005; 11:00 am at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Memorial services will be Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
