John "Mark" Goins

John "Mark" Goins, age 43 of Harrison, OH passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in Indianapolis, IN. Born August 5, 1968 in Lawrenceburg, IN he is the son of Ray & Jean (Ford) Goins of West Harrison, IN. The 1987 graduate of East Central High School was a truck driver for Averitt Trucking. He married Lisa Chesnut on July 12, 1997 at the Assembly of God Church in Harrison, OH. Mark was a loving father. He loved comic books & super heroes. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. Mark could recite any line from any movie! He loved Jackson like crazy. He was a great friend to his wife. He was a great listener. He was a great friend to many and will be missed by all. Mark is survived by his wife Lisa Goins, son Jackson Goins, parents Ray & Jean Goins, sister Cathy (John) Starling of Harrison, OH, brother Mike Goins of Harrison, OH, father & mother in law Roy & Mary Chesnut of Bath, IN, sister-in-laws Debbie (Shawn) Campbell of Sunman, IN, Janet (Chris) Davidson of Alquippa, PA, Kim (Lucas) Woeste of Liberty, IN & brother-in-law Dan (Maria) Chesnut of Bath, IN. He will also be missed by several nieces & nephews. Visitation will be Friday, August 26, 2011 from 4-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 10:30am at the funeral home with Dr. John Hembree & Pastor Jerry Jenson officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Jackson Goins Scholarship Fund c/o the funeral home.
