Joe Carota

Joe Carota, age 82 years of Harrison, OH passed away Sunday, July 29, 2007 in Cincinnati, OH. Born May 24, 1925 in Cincinnati he was the son of the late Augustino & Antonio (Minella) Carota. He worked for GATX Railroad & retired from the Miami Whitewater Park as a Park Ranger. He was a member of the FOP of Hamilton Co., American Legion Post 199 & VFW 7570 and a US Navy Veteran. Mr. Carota is survived by his wife Eunice (Black) Carota of 61 years; children Nancy (Bob) Haynes of Bright, IN & Jeff Carota of Cleves, OH; grandchildren Rob, Tina & Beth; 4 great grandchildren & sister Helen (Frank) Arnold. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Natalie "Boo" Bierman & brothers Henry, Julius, Alfred, Fredrick & Anthony Carota. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2007 from 9:30-10:30 am followed by services at 10:30am at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH with Father Bill Dorrmann officiating. Burial will be in Miamitown Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati.
