Jimmie Meadows

Jimmie “James” Meadows, age 77 passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at his home in W. Harrison, IN.  Born September 28, 1939 in McCreary County, KY.  He is the son of the late Herstle & Flonnie (Cordell) Meadors.

James was a union carpenter local #2 in Cincinnati, OH.  His family said he was a workaholic.  He loved to build & work on trucks and hunt rabbits and squirrels.

He married Martha Jane Blevins on December 2, 1957 in Cincinnati, OH and she preceded him in death.  He is survived by his children Ronald Meadows of W. Harrison, IN, Rick Meadows of Hamilton, OH, Dennis Meadows of Hamilton, OH, Theresa Sutten of Hamilton, OH, Karen Turner of Hamilton, OH and Shawn Meadows (Pam) of Lawrenceburg, IN.  He will also be missed by 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and siblings Joe, Rich, Bill, Pauline, Jessie, Mike, Eddie, Donna, Marshall and Catherine.  In addition to his parents and his wife Mary Jane Meadows, he was preceded in death by his sister Faye Weaver.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 10am until time of memorial service at 12:00pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Pastor Mark Garrett officiating.  Memorials are suggested to Loving Hearts Hospice or Dearborn County SPCA c/o the funeral home.
