Jerald Charles Horsley, 86, of Harrison passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Mercy Health West Hospital in Cincinnati.
Born August 26, 1930 in Hamilton County, Ohio, he was the son of Charles Cleveland and Hattie Rector Horsley. On October 18, 1958, he married Carolyn Joan Gregg, in Harrison, OH, all of whom have preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Army stationed at both Fort Bliss Texas and Fairbanks, Alaska. He worked at Fernald and Monsanto and was involved with the local Historical Society. In his free time he loved gardening, traveling, watching old comedies on television, and listening to books on tapes. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially looked forward to visiting with his sister and all his family from Texas.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Roger) Tormoehlen of Oxford, Indiana and Barbara Horsley of Harrison, Ohio; a son, Steven Horsley of Harrison, Ohio; two grandsons, Cody (Heejung) and Sean (Morgan) Tormoehlen all of West Lafayette, Indiana and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Scott Horsley; two sisters, Jewell Horsley Grubbs and Doris Jean Horsley Young; one brother Robert Russell Horsley; a niece, Joy Horsley and a nephew, Robert Dane Horsley.
The funeral service will be at Jackman Kercheval Funeral Home, Harrison, Ohio, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 12 pm; visitation 11am - 12 pm.
