Jeffrey W. Beebe, a respected licensed surveyor in Ohio and a dedicated business owner in Cedar Grove, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on October 19, 1961, in Waverly, New York, to Richard Beebe and Beverly (nee Brock) Sorgi, Jeff led a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and genuine warmth.

Throughout his career, Jeff made significant contributions to his community. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and his expertise as a licensed surveyor in Ohio was well recognized. Many also knew him as the proud owner of the Cedar Grove Tavern and the local gas station, establishments that served as important gathering places in Cedar Grove, Indiana. Though he was not a man of many words, when Jeff spoke, his voice commanded attention and respect—a testament to the thoughtful and substantial nature he embodied.

Jeff's personal interests painted a vivid picture of a man who appreciated both adventure and companionship. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found solace in the great outdoors, often enjoying rides on his Harley, a passion that brought him freedom and joy. His love extended to the Buffalo Bills, for whom he was an enthusiastic fan, and an enduring affection for animals, especially his beloved dogs, Russell and Ragnar, who were cherished members of his family.

Educated through high school and some college, Jeff valued knowledge gained through experience and was always approachable despite his reserved demeanor. Many fondly remember him as a very friendly and lovable guy, whose presence enriched the lives of those around him.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Melody (nee Cook) Beebe whom he married on June 23, 1989, in Diagonal, Iowa. Jeff and Melody shared companionship and support with for many years. Also surviving are his children, Nicole Beebe and Nicholas Beebe, who now carry forward his legacy. He was a devoted son to Beverly Sorgi as well as a step-son to Sherri Beebe, and a cherished brother to Bill (Noelle) Brockway, Richard “Richie” Beebe, and Chris (Lori) Beebe. His father, Richard Beebe, as well as his step-father, John Sorgi, have both preceded him in death.  Jeff's memory lives on strongly among his family and friends.

The family’s profound loss is tempered by the rich memories and the deep love left behind by Jeff, a man whose life was quietly extraordinary. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him, a lasting reminder of integrity, kindness, and the quiet power of a man whose words were few but deeply valued.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of Jeff's family.
