Jeanette Rae

RAE, Jeanette Nichols, loving mother of Mary (Christopher) Ward, dear grandmother of Aidan Ward, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Marjorie P. Lee Retirement Community in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born May 17, 1930 in Thomasville, Alabama to Kirby and Gertrude (Mayo) Nichols. Jeanette married Lyle Andrew Rae December 21, 1958 in Selma, Alabama, soon relocating to Harrison, Ohio. She worked for many years as a music teacher in the Southwest Local School District and as a choir director for the First Presbyterian Church in Harrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents Kirby and Gertrude Nichols, husband Lyle Andrew Rae, and siblings Myrtie McCrory, Tom Nichols, Ruby Durden, Mayo Nichols, Mary Rayboun, and Fred Nichols.

Visitation will be held Tuesday May 28, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., all at the First Presbyterian Church, 115 S. Vine St., Harrison, Ohio 45030. A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 30 at 10:30 A.M. followed by a reception at the Marjorie P. Lee Retirement Community, 3550 Shaw Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45208.
