Jean Linda Gesell

Jean Linda Gesell, age 56 years of Guilford, IN passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009 in Indianapolis, IN. Born February 22, 1953 in Hamilton, OH she was the daughter of the late Edward William & Dolores Helen Ann (Bedinghaus) Slayback. Jean graduated from Harrison High School. She was a homemaker but also the office manager for Hoosier Contracting Services and former member of the Miller-York Volunteer Fire Dept. She married Brian Gesell on June 13, 1992 in W. Harrison, IN. Jean is survived by her husband Brian Gesell, daughter Melissa New of Guilford, IN and sons Michael (Stacie) Melcher of Sunman, IN; Chad (Robin) Gesell of Sunman, IN & Shaun (Candace) Benefiel of Batesville, IN. She will also be missed by 12 grandchildren and siblings Bill (Cookie) Slayback, George (Jeanine) Slayback, David (Elaine) Slayback, Karen (Wayne) Hamon, Nancy Hensley, Stella Studer, Marcia (Doug) Wilks, Carrie (Paul) Yung and Dixie Slayback. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Ronald & Marlene Slayback. Visitation will be Monday, December 7, 2009 from 10am until time of service at 1:00pm all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery, Bright, IN. Memorials are suggested to the family c/o the funeral home.
