Jean Goins

Jean Goins, age 89, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Suncrest Hospice in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Born August 12, 1933, in Parrott, Kentucky the daughter of John Ford and Cynthia (Hundley) Henning.

Jean married Ray Goins on December 27, 1952 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and was member of Harrison Avenue Assembly of God where she was a preschool teacher for Hilltop Daycare for many years.

Survived by her children Cathy (John) Starling and Mike Goins.  Grandmother of Jackson Goins, Michael (Amy) Starling, Matthew (Shina) Starling, and Tim Starling.  Great-grandmother of Kherington, Dylan, James, Luke, Rayland, Zahra, and Grant.  Sister of Joyce Marshall, John Bevis, Jimmy Bevis, and Stephen Henning.

Preceded in death by her parents John Ford and Cynthia Henning, husband Ray Goins, son John “Mark” Goins, and siblings Mildred Schoonover, Andrew, and Edward Durham.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12:00 P.M., with Pastors Joe Jay and John Hembree officiating, all at Harrison Avenue Assembly of God, 949 Harrison Avenue, Harrison, Ohio 45030.  A burial will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery in Harrison, Ohio.
