J.C. Owen, Beloved husband of Mosie Owen (nee Thompson). Loving father of Jack (Lucy) Owen of W. Harrison, IN and Jerry (Carla) Owen of Delhi, OH. Devoted Grandfather of Tina (Richard) Boone, Rhonda (Robert) Beck, Jerry Jay (Erin) Owen and Dinah (Leo) Seifert. Adored Great Grandfather of Phillip (Amanda) Boone, Joshua (Jamie) Beck, Kaitlyn Owen, Patrick, Adam & Jacob Seifert. He also leaves his brothers William Otis Owen, Bobby Ray Owen and Virgil L. Owen. He is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Though he left many family and friends here on earth to grieve his passing, now he is with his Maker and loved ones who passed before him. He will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather with a heart of gold. He was always a gentleman and will be missed. Died May 20, 2005 in Cincinnati, OH; residence W. Harrison, IN; age 90 years old. Born April 29, 1915 in Walker County, Alabama he was the son of the late Ben & Eva (Meyers) Owen. He retired from the B&O Railroad, as a yardmaster, in 1975. He loved to work in his yard, was an avid fisherman and restored antique furniture. He was also a member of the F&AM Carthage Lodge #573. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 24, 2005 from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH with Masonic Services at 7:30pm. Funeral Services will be Wed. May 25, 2005 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery in Bright, IN.
