James W. Taylor

James W. Taylor, age 73 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at McCullough Hyde Hospital in Oxford, OH. Born January 10, 1939 in W. Harrison, IN he was the son of the late Leland & Elsie (Blum) Taylor. He retired in 2001 as a Mechanic for Cummins Diesel after 35 years. Mr. Taylor was a volunteer of the Drewersburg Fire Department from 1960-1990 and the Masonic Lodge F&AM Harmony #11 in Brookville, IN and the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis. He married Esther Ruth Schoonover on July 17, 2004 and she survives. In addition to his wife Esther Ruth Taylor, James is survived by his son and daughter in law Rick & Kathy Taylor of Batesville, IN; grandchildren Ashley (Tim) Eads of Glendale, OH, Sara (Tony) Leugers of Fairfield, OH, Jessica (Shane) Beck of Batesville, IN & Andrew (Jessica) Taylor of Nampa, ID; great grandchildren Baylee Flodder, Jordan Eads, Drake Leugers, Trenton James Taylor, Aiden Beck & Mackenzie Eads and sister Lena Gabbard of Eaton, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Wilma (Huber) Taylor, granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Taylor and brothers Charles & Harold Taylor. Visitation will be Friday, March 23, 2012 from 4-8pm with Masonic Services at 8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH and Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 9:30-10:30 at the Harrison Church of the Nazarene, 249 Sunset Ave., Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 10:30 at the Harrison Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Kelly Barnes & Rev. Arno Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, IN. Memorials are suggested to Drewersburg Fire Dept., Masonic Lodge F&AM Harmony #11 or Hospice of Cincinnati which can be brought to the visitation or funeral service or mailed to the funeral home.
