James Simpson

James "Jim" Dewey Simpson, age 75 years of Harrison, OH passed away Sunday, September 25, 2005 in Harrison, OH. Born June 18, 1930 in Harrison, OH he was the son of the late Dewey & Elda (Lobenstein) Simpson. He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean War. He married Dorothy Miller on November 12, 1991 in Lawrenceburg, IN. He was a member of the St. John the Baptist Church in Harrison, OH. Mr. Simpson is survived by his wife Dorothy (Miller) Simpson; son Jerry (Sharon) Simpson of Harrison, OH and daughters Leanne Reis of New Haven, OH and Luanne (Eric) Lee of Harrison, OH; 5 stepchildren; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers Donald Simpson of Sharonville, OH and Joseph Simpson of Harrison, OH; sister Anna Lee Dennis of Harrison, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Martha (Grubbs) Simpson, sisters Rita Valcheff and Marie Steinmetz and half brothers Eugene & Robert Simpson. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 28, 2005 from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 10:30am at St. John the Baptist Church in Harrison, OH with Father Edward Shine officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by the Harrison Funeral Detail. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Assoc. or American Diabetes Assoc.
