James "Jim" Gillespie

James "Jim" Gillespie, age 67 of Bright, IN passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in Harrison, OH. He was born on May 18, 1947 in Hamilton, OH and was the son of Ralph & Ruth Gillespie. Jim married Barbara Hetisimer on April 11, 1984 in Harrison. He served his country in the Army Special Forces, was a member of the Harrison American Legion & VFW Auxiliary and was also a member of the Church on Fire in Harrison. Jim did auto repair from his home for 25 years but also worked for Johnny Hall for 2 years in Dillsboro. Jim is survived by his wife Barbara Gillespie; children Les (Melissa) Gillespie, Colt (Karissa) Beal, Brent (Amanda) Beal, Joe Gillespie, Debbie Gillespie and his dog Baby Gillespie. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Nathan Gillespie, Skyler Beal, Kaylee Beal, Braydon Beal, Brock Beal and great grandchildren Arianna Gillespie & Kiren Gillespie. Visitation will be Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 9am until time of services at 11:00am at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Jerry Wilson & Pastor Pete Witt officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Harrison Funeral Detail. Memorials are suggested to the family c/o the funeral home.
