James "Jay" Arthur Slayback

James "Jay" Arthur Slayback, age 65 years of Harrison, OH passed away Saturday, December 31, 2005 in Cincinnati, OH. Born December 29, 1940 in Lawrenceburg, IN he was the son of the late Omer & Myrtle (McCallister) Slayback. He was a US Army Veteran, member of the Harrison VFW, Harrison American Legion, Harrison Amvets and was also on the Harrison Funeral Detail Team. He retired from Monsanto in Addyston, OH. Mr. Slayback is survived by his sons Ronald "Troy" (Pam) Slayback of Harrison, OH and James "Bo" (Lisa) Slayback of Huntsville, AL; daughter Michelle "Missy" Greiner of Harrison, OH and his sister Clara "Nubby" (Greg) Dragan of Bridgetown, OH. He will also be missed by his very special friend Dale Wilburn, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Lewis & Thomas Slayback; sisters Eljean Mellis, Debra Snyder and Victoria Slayback. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 3, 2006 from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 10:00AM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Harrison Funeral Detail Team or American Heart Fund.
