James Paul Donawerth

James “Paul” Donawerth, age 83 of Batesville, Indiana, formally West Harrison, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, Indiana.  Born February 14, 1939, in Bright, Indiana the son of Leonard and Pearl (Holcomb) Donawerth.

Paul, a 1959 William Henry High School graduate married Evelyn (Feller) Donawerth December 18, 1992, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Harrison, Ohio.  Paul worked at Ford Motor Company in Connersville, Indiana for 30 years, was a United States Army Veteran, and a loyal member of American Legion Post #199, VFW Post #7570, AM Vets Post #13 and St. John the Baptist Church.

Loved by Joyce (the late Ray Prickel) Prickel, Richard (Wanda) and Kenneth (Jane) Donawerth, their children and grandchildren as well as the dear brother of Annie McCraken.

Preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Pearl Donawerth, wife Evelyn Donawerth and siblings Mabel, Esther, Melvin, Clifford, and Gene.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 6. 2023 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Shawn Crisman officiating all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030.  Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Harrison, Ohio with military honors provided by the Harrison Funeral Detail and United States Army.
