Irene J. Bennett

Irene J. Bennett, age 90, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, in Sunman, Indiana.

She was born the daughter of Chester A. and Ora (Hutchinson) Riley on December 28, 1933, in Owsley County, Kentucky.

Irene is survived by her children, Dave (Lisa) Bennett and Kathryn Feller, and her 11 grandchildren: Josh (Jamie), Matthew (Amanda), Rebecca (Bryant), Jason (Andrea), Brittany (Corey), Jessica, Allison (Joe), Sheila (Tim), Kendra (Dave), Bryan (Wendy), and Brandyn (Melissa).  She is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, her caregiver Ashley Walker, and her beloved cat.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Alva Bennett, her daughter Saundra K. Wolf, her parents Chester and Ora Riley, and her seven brothers and sisters.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Shawn Crisman officiating, all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030. A burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery in Bright, Indiana.
