Ira J. Dick

Ira J. Dick, age 82 years of Lawrenceburg, IN passed away Friday, February 23, 2007 in Lawrenceburg, IN. Born March 13, 1924 in Somerset, KY he was the son of the late John Thomas & Mary (Godsey) Dick. He was a US Army veteran serving during WWII. He married Elaine Aker in Jellico, TN. Mr. Dick retired from A&V Grinding in Cincinnati as a machinist. Mr. Dick is survived by his children Marcy (G.K.) Wesley, Chris (Bill) Meadows, Pete Perry, Kay Deaton, Rita (Bob) Burgess & Rob (LeeAnn) Kinnett; siblings Luther, Ray & T.J. Dick, Ruth Durham, Judia Cook, Anna Hall, Peggy Bowling, Mary Stamper & Nancy Roy; 7 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elaine Dick & siblings Terrell, Pearl & Lawrence Dick, Ila Vaught & Lula Evelyn Wesley. Visitation will be Monday, February 26, 2007 from 5-8 PM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Bro. Barney Owens officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery in Covington, KY. Memorials are suggested to VFW, American Legion or Bright Fire & Rescue.
