Helen Whitham

Helen Whitham, age 72 of Harrison, OH passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Born July 1, 1939 in Robinson County, KY she was the daughter of Clayton & Phoebe (Poe) Gifford. For many years she worked for US Shoe & Soft Seal both in Harrison, OH. She married Craig Whitham on July 31, 1976 in Harrison. Helen was a member of the Yeager Benson Post 199 Ladies Auxiliary and Salon #115 of the 8/40. Helen is survived by her husband Craig Whitham, daughter Gail Guilfoyle of Cincinnati, OH & son Mark Gibson of Colerain Township, OH. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Amanda, Brittany, Colton, Ian & Zakary, 5 great grandchildren and siblings Judy Morgan of Harrison, OH, Mae Horton of Amelia, OH, Florence Winkle of Crystal Beach, TX, Bob (Betty) Gifford of Amelia, OH, Jim Gifford of Georgetown, OH and Bill Gifford of Flemingsburg, KY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Edna Davidson, Darlene VanWinkle, Gordon Gifford, Shirley Gifford & Mary Donna Abrams. Visitation will be Monday, July 2, 2012 from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 10:30am at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison, OH. Memorials are suggested to American Legion Yeager Benson Post 199 Ladies Auxiliary.
