Harry "Red" Ivan Schulte Jr., age 88 of Harrison, OH passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Born October 20, 1923 in Taylors Creek, OH he was the son of Harry & Hazel (Kerns) Schulte. The Army Corp. of Engineers veteran during WWII serving in Europe later worked for Ohio Gravel operating a front end loader and for the Pepsi Co. retiring in 1986. He married Mary Waller on June 11, 1949 in Lawrenceburg, IN. Harry is survived by his wife of 62 years Mary Schulte, daughters Ruth (Everett) Leahigh of Wilmington, OH, Virginia "Ginny" Schulte of Greensburg, IN, Rebecca "Becky" (Michael) Hall of Harrison, OH & Barbara (Ron) Mason of Cedar Grove, IN. He will also be missed by his 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and sister Florence Handy of Hamilton, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Marjorie Harper & Robert Schulte. Visitation will be Friday, March 30, 2012 from 10am until time of service at 1pm all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Ruth Lyons Children's Fund or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation c/o the funeral home which you can bring to the visitation/service or mail to the funeral home.
