Harold Simpson

Harold Simpson, age 76 of Lakewood Ranch, FL formerly of Bright, IN passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 in Lakewood Ranch, FL. Born January 18, 1938 in Cleves, OH he was the son of the late Jesse Simpson & Cordia (Clyde) Brown (nee: Miller). He married Stephanie Valvano on August 30, 1973 in Bright, IN. He retired from CG&E in 1991 as an Underground Division Supervisor. Harold is survived by his wife Stephanie Simpson, his sons Gregory (Lori) Simpson of Cincinnati, OH & Mark Simpson of West Chester, OH. He will also be missed by his grandson Christopher Simpson of West Chester and great grandson Carson Simpson; mother-in-law Mary Valvano of Cincinnati, OH; sister-in-law Donna (Gabe) Gonnella of Cincinnati, OH and brother-in-law Al Valvano of Seattle, WA. In addition to his parents and stepfather, he was preceded in death by his brother Harvey Simpson. Visitation will be Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 10am until time of services at 1pm all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Alfred Valvano officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery in Bright, IN. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Assoc., Parkinson Foundation or Hospice of Lakewood Ranch c/o the funeral home.
