Harold Fred Gaebel, Jr.

Harold F. Gaebel or as we all knew him Butch was born on February 18, 1948 to Harold and Elsie (Bunnell) Gaebel. He grew up in Blue Jay with his Sister Sissy.  He often talked about growing up at his Dad's tractor sales. He graduated from William Henry Harrison High School in 1966.

He started at Chemlawn but later changed jobs to drive a dump truck for his Uncle at Bunnell Sand & Gravel and then later when it changed to Hanson he continued to drive. This is when he found the job that he loved. He always told us that we should find a job that we enjoyed so that it was not a hardship to get up and go. That is what he found driving a truck.

Butch and his wife married on June 3, 1989 blending their two families together.

After Butch retired he liked to enjoy breakfast at Waffle House or White Castles where he loved to pick on the employees. He would then keep busy by just driving wherever he thought to go. He loved spending time with his Grandchildren and going to car shows.

Butch loved many things like his truck Black Beauty, his tractor, watching westerns, cooking shows and the movie Convoy. And our cat Jack and Butch had quite a friendship. But he loved his family most of all.

Butch entered into Heaven on October 10, 2016. He left behind his beloved wife Luana (Patterson), his loving children Judi Borne, Heather Gaebel, Melissa (Jerry) Burns, Nick (Pam) Borne and  the late Holly Borne.  His Grandchildren Harrison, Bryan, Allison, Logan, Kayli Mae, Patrick and Mary. His Great Grandson Caydon. His parents Ken and Elsie Milton. His Sister, Sissy Gaebel and his Nieces and Nephews.

His Father Harold Sr and his Daughter Holly were there to greet him into Heaven with Jesus.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH.  Funeral Services will be Friday, October 14, 2016 at 2:00pm with Pastor Don Campbell officiating.  His wishes were to be cremated.  Memorials  are suggested to the family c/o the funeral home.
