Harold Franklin Sauerland

Harold Franklin Sauerland, age 80 years of Cedar Grove, IN passed away Monday, June 18, 2007 in Dayton, OH. Born September 11, 1926 in Harrison, OH he was the son of the late Ray & Isabelle (Bibee) Sauerland. Mr. Sauerland married Kay Toney on Nov. 8, 1986 in Cedar Grove, IN. He was a life long farmer and had a great love for Belgian Horses in which he had also done some horse pulling. He was a former Springfield Township School Trustee, Former Federal Land Bank Director, Former Secretary of Mt. Carmel Cemetery and a member of the Franklin County Antique Machinery Club. Mr. Sauerland is survived by his wife Kay Sauerland, children Sharon (Ron) McNabney of Anderson, IN; Judy (Late Chuck) Watts of Statesville, NC; Debra (Paul) Day of Brookville, IN & Shirley (Larry) Kerr of Cedar Grove, IN; step children Tracy (Sam) Combs of Okeana, OH & Brad (Linda) Campbell of Pinson, AL; 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, brothers Russell Sauerland of New Madison, OH & Richard Sauerland of New Paris, OH and sister Evelyn Booker of Okeana, OH. Visitation will be Thursday, June 21, 2007 from 5-8 PM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Friday, June 22, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Mark Fugate officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Mt. Carmel Cemetery Fund or Drewersburg EMS c/o the funeral home.
