Green Hollin

Green Hollin, age 89 of Morris, IN formerly of Bright, IN died Saturday, April 21,2012 at the Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville. He was born in Manchester, KY on September 10, 1922 to the late Millard and Helen (Hibbard) Hollin. He was in the United States Army during WWII serving in all five theaters in Europe and retired from Seagram's in Lawrenceburg, IN. He married Leona Mae Gerngross and she died September 3, 1995. Mr. Hollin enjoyed spending his time fishing, bowling, camping and playing cards with friends and family. He was also a founding member of Joy Baptist Church in Cincinnati, OH. Green is survived by his two children David Ray Hollin (Vicki) of Fairborn, OH and Gloria Jean Record (David) of Morris, IN, sisters Ethel (Hollin) Jones, Martha (Hollin) Metzler, Lillie (Hollin) Snyder and Sallie (Hollin) Hiler all of Harrison, OH and brother George Hollin of Hamilton, OH. He also will be missed by his grandchildren Heather Hollin of Canoga Park, CA, Nick Hollin of Dover,IN, Christina (Record) White of Zionsville, IN, Adam Record of Liberty Township, OH and Elizabeth Record of Indianapolis, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and brothers Charles and Raymond Hollin. Visitation is Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 5:30 to 8:00p.m. and the funeral will be on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 11 a.m. all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH with Pastor Lenn Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in the Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison, OH with military grave side rites. Memorials may be given to Joy Baptist Church, 5906 Springdale Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45247 or by bringing it to the funeral home.
