George Francis Hollin, age 84 passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at his home in Shandon, OH. Born March 11, 1932 in Manchester, KY he was the son of the late Millard & Helen (Hibbard) Hollin.
The US Army Veteran served his country during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany.
George graduated from Bright High School in 1951 and was a member of the Twinbrook Baptist Church in Hamilton, OH. He worked for Fernald & retired from Avon as a mixing operator.
George was a husband, father, brother, friend, & good Christian. He loved to travel, loved his home and loved his family.
He married Emogene Noel on August 18, 1951 in Bright, IN. In addition to his wife of 65 years, Emogene Hollin, he is survived by his daughter, Teresa M. Hollin (Phillip Lozier) and his son Gregory Hollin (Kathy) of Bright, IN. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Scott Reeves, Shawn Reeves, Ryan Reeves, Brandon Reeves, Brent Hollin, and Ashley Lane, great grandchildren Savanah Reeves, Dominick Reeves, Veronica Reeves, Chris Holzbacher, Joey Reeves, Trinity Reeves, Landon Lane, Gavin Lane, & Elle Hollin and his sisters Martha Metzler, Lillie Snyder & Sallie Hiler all of Harrison, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Ethel Jones, Green Hollin, Charles Hollin, Raymond Hollin.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Jason Noel for his love and kindness shown to the family during their time of grief.
Visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2016 from 11am until time of services at 1pm all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, with Brother Kenneth Ogle officiating. Burial will follow services in New London Cemetery, Shandon, OH with military graveside rites by the Harrison Funeral Detail.
