George D Hiler

 George D. Hiler, age 80 of Harrison, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.

The son of Carl and Mary (Liming) Hiler-Inloes was born in St. Charles, OH on June 17, 1937.  George married Blanche Hensley on June 18, 1960 at the Smyrna Baptist Church in New Trenton, IN.

The 1955 Whitewater High School graduate and US Army veteran attended the University of Cincinnati until he went to work for Procter & Gamble.  He worked as a R&D tech at P&G for 33 years until he retired.  George was a member of the Harrison Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Blanche; daughter Pamela (Jeff) Welsh of Okeana, OH; son George (Edie) Hiler Jr. of Harrison, OH; six grandchildren, Rachel (Greg) Applegate, Ryan (Amber) Ford, Amberly Woods, Daniel Woods, Rebekah Hiler and George Benjamin Hiler; two great grandchildren, Hailey Woods and Jacob Helsley; along with six nieces and nephews, Victoria Swininger of Metamora, IN, Richard (Joy) Bishop of Brookville, IN, Shelia (Steve) Koltonof Batesville, IN, Roger (Cindy) Klausman of Winona Lake, IN, William (Carolyn) Chesnut of Melbourne, Australia and Jeffery (Mary) Chesnut of Independence, KY; and his sister Ruth Ann Chestnut of Florence, KY.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Joan Hiler.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 4-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, Ohio.  Funeral Services will be 10:30am on Wednesday, August 16th at the Harrison Avenue Baptist Church in Harrison.  Pastor Mark Garrett officiating.  Burial will follow Arlington Memorial Gardens, Cincinnati, OH with military honors.

Memorials may be given to the Deacons Fund at Harrison Avenue Baptist Church or the Lukemia Cancer Society.
