Geneva Mary Werner

Geneva Mary Werner, age 94 of Harrison, OH passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Shawneespring Health Care Center in Harrison, OH. Born Aug. 21, 1916 in Harrison, OH she was the daughter of the late Louis & Margaret (Hopping) Wurtzler. She married Wilson William Werner in the Priest house, St. John the Baptist, Harrison, OH and was a member of St. John the Baptist. Geneva & her sisters did a lot of homemaking, including canning & picking fruit. She was also a devoted wife taking care of her husband for 14 years after he became an invalid. He died July 27, 1980. IN 1982, Geneva asked her niece Betty Wurtzler to come live with her. Geneva is survived by her devoted niece Betty Wurtzler of Harrison, OH and several other nieces & nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Clara Grubbs, Marie Greenham, Catherine Minges, Helen Wilson & Margaret Wurtzler. Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 9:30 10:30am at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Church in Harrison, OH. Memorials are suggested to St. John the Baptist.
