Gary Young Jr.

Gary Wayne Young Jr, 56, of Harrison, OH passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, in Farragut, TN.

Gary passed away unexpectedly but peacefully, surrounded by his family, in his home.

Gary was born June 6th, 1965, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Gary and Barbara Young. He attended the University of Cincinnati for his undergraduate degree and The University of Findlay for his Master’s degree. Gary was a 32nd degree Freemason of the Scottish Rite and worked for Oak Ridge National Laboratory where he was a Rigging Engineer and Lift Planner.

Gary loved working on cars with his sons, exploring the mountains in his Jeep with his wife and talking with friends and family around the kitchen table.

He is survived by his wife, Mindy (nee Gaddis); sons, Travis, Quentin and Wyatt Young; step sons, Vic and Nic Landa; brother, Brad Young; sister, brother-in-law, Gail and Junior Riley; mother-in-law, father-in-law, Patricia and Stephen; brother-in-law, sister-in-law, Tom and Kristy; and various aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Young Sr. and mother, Barbara (Toney) Young.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. until time of funeral services at 2:00 P.M. at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home 215 Broadway Street Harrison, Ohio 45030. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison, Ohio.
