Gary Eugene Mealor

Gary Eugene Mealor, age 64 of Guilford, IN passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Born July 23, 1948 in Calhoun, GA he was the son of Theodore & Annie Jo (Stroud) Mealor. He married Sherri Willis on January 1, 1971 in Newport, KY. Gary worked for Campbell Hausfeld in Harrison, OH and was a member of the Berean Baptist Church in Bright, IN. Gary was very musical. He played the piano, guitar, harmonica and also sang. He was also very artistic and did a lot of painting. He was a runner and did a lot of exercising and was also the company clown. When a birthday came up, he would dress up and sing "Happy Birthday" to them even if they didn't want him too. He also did this for the former president of Campbell Hausfeld who said he was the bright spot of the company and no one will be able to take his place. He loved helping people and was very dedicated to his church and family. Gary will be missed by his wife Sherri Mealor, sons Bobby Mealor & Johnny Mealor and his daughter Wendy Johnson. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Jon & Jake Mealor, John, Sarah & Gracie Johnson. Visitation will be Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 3pm until time of service at 6:00pm all at Berean Baptist Church in Bright, IN with Pastor Charles Davis officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family c/o Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home.
