Gary Raymond Dornbusch

Gary Raymond Dornbusch, age 71 passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at his home in Cape Canaveral, FL. Born February 17, 1944 in Cincinnati, OH he was the son of the late Ferd & Virginia (Hill) Dornbusch. Gary served his country proudly in the Marines during Vietnam. When he returned, he became an accountant but also did some truck driving, come home to Harrison in the summers to help at the flea market and was also an excellent writer, just recently posting on facebook a journal about his cancer and his fears of death called "Report from the Edge". Gary married Donna Jean Perkins on February 20, 1988 and together they were a member of Our Savior Cocoa Beach Church and until recently they were very active in the American Legion. He was known for his humor, sarcasm, and wit. He was always telling jokes. Gary is survived by his wife Donna Jean Dornbusch, his sons Paul (Kelly) Dornbusch and Karl (Paula) Dornbusch both of Cincinnati, OH. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Joshua, Morgan & Madison; siblings Peg (Late Brad) Bradfield, his twin brother Ferd (Armella) Dornbusch, Chris (Patty) Dornbusch, Mitch (Spring) Dornbusch, Traci (Pinger Schneider) Dornbusch-Seifert, Sue (Gary Schatz) Dornbusch, Brad (Nancy) Dornbusch, late Mark (Nancy) Dornbusch and late Nicky Dornbusch; his dog and best buddy Twitch and over 100 nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. Visitation will be Friday, May 1, 2015 from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. A Memorial Mass will be Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 10:30am at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 5222 North Bend Rd., Monfort Heights, OH with Father Don McCarthy officiating. Memorials are suggested to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
