Freda Mae Russell

Russell (Bennett), Freda Mae, of West Harrison, Indiana, went Home to Heaven on Saturday, June 10, 2023, after living an amazing 94 years as a faithful servant of God.  She was born on March 5, 1929 to Selwyn and Leona Bennett and the oldest of six children.

She lived her whole life close to where she was born, graduating from Whitewater High School and spending 40 years working at US Shoe of Harrison, Ohio.  In 1952, she married the love of her life, Henry Russell, who remained with her until his death in 2008.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Beulah, her brother, Alva, and son-in-law, Daniel Livengood.  She is survived by her three children Eva Joyce Livengood, Cheryl (Brent) Eresman, and Dan Russell.  She is also survived by three grandchildren Krista (Phil) Hawkins, Katrina (Jake) Langknecht, and Michael Eresman, as well as two great-grandsons Linus and Oskar Hawkins.  She loved her God and her family, and she was loved by all who met her.

Visitation to be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. with all being held at Chappelow Ridge Baptist Church, 28176 Chappelow Hill Road, West Harrison, Indiana 47060.  Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery in Bright, Indiana.
