Floyd "Al" Hawkins

Floyd "Al" Hawkins Jr., age 81 of Bright, IN passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH. Born March 20, 1933 in Cincinnati, he was the son of the late Floyd & Mary Hawkins. Al graduated from Western Hills High School. He served his country in the US Army and upon returning went to work at the Buick Dealer in Cincinnati as a car salesman. He married Joyce Carson on July 27, 1960 in Columbus, OH. Al is survived by his wife Joyce Hawkins; his son Timothy Scott (Jeanie) Hawkins of West Chester, OH; his grandson Chief Petty Officer Geoffrey Scott Hawkins; and siblings Kenneth (Glenna) Hawkins, Jerry (Tako) Hawkins, Mary Catherine (Lester) Tudor and Jan Hawkins. Visitation will be Friday, December 26, 2014 from 9am until time of services at 11:00am at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery with military honors. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Assoc. c/o the funeral home.
