Florence Amy Helms

Florence Amy Helms, age 88, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away June 10, 2024, in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Born December 25, 1935, in Harrison, Ohio, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Getz) Nowlin.

Florence, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always took care of everyone else before herself. Worked for over 30 years in housekeeping at Providence Hospital and was married to Richard Helms, Sr.

Survived by her loving children Barbara (George) Shepherd, Rebecca (Bryan Routch) Myles, Richard Helms Jr., Raymond Helms, and Robert (Carla) Helms.  Grandmother of nine, and great-grandmother of 11.

Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Nowlin, her husband, Richard Helms, Sr., and siblings Mary Messerschmidt, Catherine Beardsley, Norma McConnell, Elda Richards, Leonard Nowlin, Walter Nowlin, Joseph Nowlin, and Thomas Nowlin, Jr.

A visitation will be held Monday, June 17, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral blessing will be Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 10:00 A.M., all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030.  A burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Harrison, Ohio.
