Evelyn R. Moore

Evelyn R. Moore, age 93 of West Harrison, Indiana passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2026, in Hamilton, Ohio. Born January 19, 1933, in Franklin County, Indiana the daughter of the late Selwyn and Leona (King) Bennett.

Evelyn, a Whitewater High School graduate, married James “Ben” Moore on August 4, 1951, in West Harrison, Indiana and was a member of Chappelow Ridge Pentecostal church and Auburn Old Time Holiness Church.

Evelyn is survived by her sons, Terry (Nancy) Moore, Tim (Melanie) Moore, and Tracy (Angie) Moore. Mamaw of Mark (Danielle) Moore, Kelley (Tom) Eby, Matt Moore, Joe Moore, Kristin (Alex Berger) Moore, Jodi Moore, and Jenni Moore. Great grandmother of Logan, Elijah, Dylan, Lacie, Skylah, Maddox, and Cooper. Dear sister of Donna Jean Smith.

Preceded in death by her parents Selwyn and Leona Bennett, husband James “Ben” Moore, son Mark Todd Moore, grandson James Moore, and siblings Beulah Joan, Freda, Alva, and Ronald Bennett.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 31, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home 215 Broadway Street Harrison, Ohio 45030. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Granville Saylor officiating all at Chappelow Ridge Pentecostal Church, 4740 Chappelow Ridge Road, West Harrison, Indiana 47060. Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery Bright, Indiana.
