Evelyn Marie King

Evelyn Marie King, age 81 of Chappelow Ridge passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN. Born March 28, 1930 in Cincinnati, OH she was the daughter of the late Henry Clay Banks & the late Lillian Banks-Rigsbey. She married Rufus B. King on September 20, 1946 in Ft. Thomas, KY and he passed away February 9, 2011. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. King is survived by her son-in-law Jeff Brown Sr. of Moores Hill, IN; grandchildren Jeff (Angel) Brown Jr., of Milan, IN Jason (Kelly) Brown of Rising Sun, IN & Craig "Buck" Brown of Moores Hill, IN; great grandchildren Megan Brown, Ruby Brown & Trenton Gridley; brother-in-law Ollis (Margaret) King of Kansas City, MO; sister-in-laws Laverne Banks of Minnesota & Melba (Cecil) King Sturgill of Bright, IN. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughters Janet Brown & Diane King and brother Henry Banks, Jr. Visitation will be Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 11am until time of services at 1pm all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Winston Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Cancer Research c/o the funeral home.
