Evelyn Marie Hon

Evelyn Marie Hon, age 84 of Harrison, OH passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 at Ridgewood Health Care in Lawrenceburg, IN. Born September 28, 1929 in Florence, IN she was the daughter of Elias "Bud" & Wilma (Gullion) Ballard. In 1987 she retired from Seagram's in which she starting working as a teenager. She married Russell R. Hon on May 14, 1949 in Rising Sun, IN and attended the Harrison Church of the Nazarene. Evelyn is survived by her husband Russell Hon; daughter Pam Eldridge of Harrison, OH; grandson David Ray (Christan) Eldridge of Bright, IN; great grandchildren Dylan Ray Eldridge, Marie Faith Eldridge & Colt Russell Ray Eldridge and sisters Laverne Hayes & Lorraine Walton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Larry Ray Hon and siblings Ruth Kelley, Raymond Ballard, Hazel Eldridge & Norman Ballard. Visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2014 from 12 noon until time of services at 2pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Christan Eldridge officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison, OH.
