Evelyn Rose Banks

Evelyn Rose Banks, age 71 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at her home. Born May 8, 1941 in Clay County, KY she was the daughter of Clifton & Edna (Philpot) Bowman. She married Wendell Lee Banks on May 13, 1966 in Greendale, IN. The graduate of Clay County High School was a member of Chappelow Ridge Baptist Church. Evelyn is survived by her children Denise Fox of Harrison, OH, Kimberly Banks of W. Harrison, IN, & Larry (Jackie) Banks of Dillsboro, IN. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Hannah Fox & Grace Fox and siblings Virginia Hacker, Brenda Brown, Irene Martin, Robert Bowman & Autho Bowman. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer Banks and siblings Pauline, Clinton & Virgil Bowman. Visitation will be Friday, November 16, 2012 from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 10:00am at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family c/o the funeral home.
