Eveda Ison

Eveda Ison, age 81 years of Harrison, OH passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in Harrison, OH. Born March 7, 1929 in Oscaloosa, KY she was the daughter of the late Grant & Mary (Stallard) Ison. Eveda married George Ison, Jr. on January 27, 1950 in Whitesburg, KY. He preceded her in death. She enjoyed walking, gardening and her church. Mrs. Ison is survived by her children Sharon (Teen) McMillin, Sonny Ison, Ron Ison, and Pam Ison. She will also be missed by her grandchildren SuzAnne, Judson, Amber, Shelly, Tracy, Michael, Deege, Danielle, and Chad and great grandchildren Rylan, Jayden, and Max and siblings Dr. Delmer Ison, Alva Frazier, Gracie Boggs, Glennon Ison, Eula Gilliam, and Doris Day. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Earl Ison, Carl Ison, Lovell Day, Forrester Ison, Harding Ison, and Avis Colson. Visitation will be Monday, May 24, 2010 from 5-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, 10:00am at the funeral home with Bro. Ronnie Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church c/o the funeral home.
