Edward R. Drennan

Edward R. Drennan, age 78 of Harrison, OH passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at Shawneespring Health Care.  Born October 2, 1938 in Cheviot, OH he was the son of the late Peter J. Drennan Jr. & Margaret Clara (Herbert) Drennan.

Edward married Barbara J. Knipe at St. Patrick’s Church in 1960.  He worked as a Public Works Inspector, City of Cincinnati surveyor, parts driver for Western Hills Foreign Car Parts & Bill’s Battery.  He was an Elder High School Class of 1956 graduate, president of the St. Ignatius Athletic Assoc, President of Pacesetters Hot Rod Club, member of St. John the Baptist Church and the coolest & most generous dad of 6 children.

Edward is survived by his children Jeannie M. Getha, Lisa M. Hobbs, Larry P. Drennan, Maureen C. Bernstein & Michael Drennan.  He will also be missed by his grandchildren Jeffrey Hobbs, Justin Getha, Jessica Brink, Josh Drennan & Jeremy Drennan; 3 great grandchildren and his brother Ronald Drennan.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara J. Drennan, his son Patrick Edward Drennan and his sister Phyllis Drennan.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 12 noon until time of mass at 1:00pm all at St. John the Baptist Church with Father Edward Shine officiating.  Burial will follow mass at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Elder Alumni Assoc. or Parkinson Foundation c/o Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, P.O.
