Ed Hoffman

Ed "Oot" Hoffman, age 78 of Harrison, OH passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Born Sept. 10, 1933 in Brookville, IN he was the son of the late John A. & Hedwig (Feller) Hoffman. Married to Pat Bross on Oct. 2, 1993, the Army Veteran was a lifelong member of the VFW Duwell Post 7570. Ed retired from Chevron as a Security Guard and before that he worked as a bricklayer and truck driver. Mr. Hoffman is survived by his wife Pat Hoffman, sons Michael Hoffman of Delhi, OH and Douglas (Jennifer) Hoffman of Harrison, OH. He will also be missed by his brothers John (Ella Mae) Hoffman, Alvin (Gisela) Hoffman & Melvin (Shirley) Hoffman, sister Alice (Norton) Hauenstein, 8 grandchildren,and many nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Donna Voy (Pennington) Hoffman and siblings Viola (Urvan) Smith, Clarence (Fern) Hoffman, Loretta (Pete) Fohl, Mary (Gene) Simpson, Wilma (Gil) Meyer, Betty (Porter) Hawley & Marlene (Robert) Roark. Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 6-8pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Harrison, OH. Visitation also 2-3pm followed by Funeral Blessing at 3pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Rev. Jeffrey M. Kemper officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Harrison. Memorials are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House c/o the funeral home.
