Dorothy Werner

Dorothy Werner, age 84 years of Brookville, IN passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 at McCullough Hyde Hospital in Oxford, OH. Born April 9, 1926 in Hamilton, OH she was the daughter of the late William & Flora (Heitfield) Jenkins.The 1944 graduate of Morgan Township retired from Campbell Hausfeld and enjoyed farming. She married Omer Werner on November 2, 1946 in Shandon, OH. Dorothy is survived by her son Joe (Susan Berger) Werner; grandchildren Melissa (Chris) Burkhart, Katie Werner & Anthony Werner and great grandchildren Carly & Benjamin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Omer Werner on April 19, 1978 and siblings Ruth, Della, Florence, Charlie, William, Roscoe & Robert. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 4-7pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 10:00am at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in Shandon Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Assoc. c/o the funeral home.
