Dorothy Ann Rowen

Dorothy Ann Rowen, age 71 of Harrison, OH passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at Mercy Fairfield. Born August 13, 1940 in Cincinnati, OH she was the daughter of the late Earl & Mary (Lamb) Lillie. She bartended at the VFW in Harrison for 18+ years, was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary where she was past president. She was married to Walter Rowen who preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1964 and was also preceded in death by her partner Ron Roudebush. Dorothy will be missed by her children Brenda (John) Guilfoyle of Colerain Township, OH, Rene McElroy of Cincinnati, OH and Mike (Amy) Rowen of Okeana, OH. She will also be missed by her 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and siblings Roger Lillie, Carol Dye, Charleen Wilson and Angela Rice. In addition to her parents, husband and partner, she was preceded in death by her siblings Earl J. Lillie, Charles A. Lillie & Diana Brickner. Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 9:30am until time of service at 11:00am all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Pastor Chuck McMahan officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison, OH. Memorials are suggested to Harrison VFW c/o the funeral home.
