Doris Mae Skidmore (nee VanWinkle), beloved wife of 68 years to John "Jack" Skidmore, married March 24, 1942 in Bright, IN, dear mother of Carolyn (Larry) Gabbard of Colorado Springs, CO, Judy Kirchgassner of Bright, IN, Johnny Skidmore of Brookville, IN, Kathy (Gary) Strohm of Cincinnati, OH, David (Carla) Skidmore of Columbus, IN, & Cynthia Smith of Crittenden, KY; sister of James "Jim" (Emma Grace) VanWinkle of San Antonio, TX; loving grandmother of 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Norma (Pfluger) & James VanWinkle and brothers Marion "Bud" VanWinkle & Jerry VanWinkle.

Doris Maepassed away September 1, 2010 at age 85. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ. Private Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010 with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison, OH. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati or American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home.
