Doris Mae Emmert (nee Kuehn), age 85, of Union, Kentucky, formerly of Harrison, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, in Edgewood, Kentucky.
Born the daughter of Clarence and Bertha C. (Beneker) Kuehn on May 13, 1938, in Batesville, Indiana, she was a 1956 graduate of Harrison High School and a 1992 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Doris married G. Wayne Emmert on July 20, 1957, at the First Presbyterian Church in Harrison, Ohio. She was a member of the Richwood Presbyterian Church in Walton, Kentucky.
Doris is survived by her four daughters Julia (Michael) O’Reilly of Columbus, Ohio, Jennifer (Aric) Williams of Auburn, Indiana, Doris Ann (Christopher) Bryan of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Jean Eschenbach of Cincinnati, Ohio, 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and her brother, Raymond (Donna) Green of Clarksville, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Wayne Emmert, her mother, Bertha C. (Kuehn) Green, step‑father Raymond N. Green, and father, Clarence Kuehn, her sister Gloria Gardner, and brother-in-law, Harold Gardner.
A Celebration of Doris’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the First Presbyterian Church located at 115 South Vine Street, Harrison, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Joshua Long and Rev. Terry Webster officiating. A luncheon will follow for friends and family in the Sonrise Hall. A private burial will take place at Glen Haven Cemetery in Harrison, Ohio.
