Denny L. Gambrell

Denny L. Gambrell “Snake”, age 78 of Harrison, Ohio passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 17, 2026. Born August 30, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late N.G. and Eileen (Maly) Gambrell.

Denny was the owner and operator of Down-to-Earth carpet company in Harrison, Ohio for many years and was known as a specialist on carpet and ceramic tiles.

Survived by his children Melissa Webb, Wenaca (Jeremy Keith) Lowery, Funston (Amelia) Gambrell, and Jennifer Owensby. Grandfather of Alexandra Tremain, Nathan Lowery, Brody Keith, Jewel English, Gavin Owensby, Gabriell Owesby, Funston Gambrell, II, Christopher Eric Webb Jr., Felicia Lavallee, Dawson Lavallee, Cheyenne Hammersfahr, Connor Breazwale, Kayla Hayes, and Jackson Hayes. Great grandfather of many. Brother of Pam Schott, David Gambrell, and Norman “Gary” Gambrell. Also survived by Rebecca Gambrell, and Gail Couch.

Preceded in death by his parents N.G. and Eileen Gambrell, and siblings Raymond, Marty, Ronald Gambrell, and Marcella Shiveley.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 12:00 P.M. until time of funeral services at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor John Calabrese officiating all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030.
