Delmer Shepherd

Delmer Shepherd, age 89 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at his home. Born January 13, 1922 in Defeated Creek, KY he was the son of the late Chris & Betty (Griffey) Shepherd. The US Navy veteran worked for X-TEK in Sharonville as a Tool & Die maker and was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Worship Center in Cincinnati, OH. He married Geneva Brock on Dec. 22, 1949 in Harlan, KY and she preceded him in death on November 22, 2007. Delmer is survived by his children Chris Shepherd & Betsy (Michael) Annis both of W. Harrison, IN. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Brandon, Sarah, Jacob & Elijah. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings Bernice, Little & Less Shepherd. Visitation will be Friday, November 4, 2011 from 6-8pm at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11:00am at Faith Tabernacle Worship Center, 6350 Springdale Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45247 with Rev. John Bruce officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hills Cemetery with graveside military rites by the Harrison Funeral Detail.
