Delmar Clinton Taylor

August 10, 1921 — October 9, 2014

Delmar Clinton Taylor, 93, beloved husband of the late Agnes Mapes Taylor beloved father of Arlene Suzanne (Michael) Conner, Lois J. Bradford, Marcie Taylor and Dr. Aaron Taylor. Grandfather of Jarrod Bradford and Amanda Garvin. Also survived by his sister, Evelyn Henderson and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucy Taylor of Brookville and later Bright, Indiana, siblings Leland, Herbert, Garret and Donald Taylor and his sister, Doris Edwards. Delmar served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy; the highlight of his career took place in the Aleutian Islands when he met and spoke with Franklin D. Roosevelt when the president inspected the troops on the Alaskan Frontier. Mr. Taylor was a retiree of the Atomic Energy Commission Facility at the Fernald location. He was a long time member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod serving the Lord at Bethlehem Lutheran Church for many years before joining the membership at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church in Harrison, Ohio. Visitation will be at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home on Monday from 6-8pm. Service of Christian Burial will be at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 11:00am. with Rev. William Ritchie presiding. Interment will be at Miamitown Cemetery.
