Debbie Kay Baker, born on July 30, 1951, in Hamilton, Ohio, gracefully departed this life on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in Bright, Indiana. She was a radiant soul, whose life was a testament to unwavering faith, profound love, and an enduring commitment to her family and community.

From her earliest days, Debbie exemplified a spirit of determination and compassion. She was a proud graduate of Whitewater High School in 1969 and further pursued her education at Liberty University. Following her academic endeavors, she dedicated herself to a life enriched by the joy of music, sang gospel melodies with her beloved husband, Cloid Baker. Together, they shared not only their passion for music, but also their love for one another, which was sanctified on July 4, 1972, in Alexandria, Indiana.

Debbie's life was deeply rooted in her faith as she attended Friendship Baptist Church - an institution that served both her spiritual needs and fostered a sense of community. She embraced the sacred bond of family, nurturing her children, Shawna (Paul) Lanterman and Chad (Bethany) Baker, with unwavering love and guidance. Her grandchildren, Carson Baker, Cole Baker, and Max Lanterman, were cherished lights in her life, bringing her immeasurable joy.

Debbie is survived by her adoring husband Cloid, her precious children, and her beloved grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sharon (Dorman) Perry, whose companionship provided a cherished connection throughout their lives.

Her passing is a profound loss felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Noble McQueen, and her mother, Nellie (nee: Johnson) McQueen, who will surely welcome her with open arms.

As we gather to honor her life, a visitation will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, all taking place at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home located at 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030. Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery in Bright, Indiana.  Debbie’s legacy will forever resonate through the lives she touched, and her memory will remain a guiding light for her loved ones. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those she leaves behind.
