David R. Kleinfeld

David R. Kleinfeld, age 67 of Bright, IN passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at his home. Born July 24, 1944 in Cleveland, OH he was the son of Otto & Edith (Reich) Kleinfeld. David was an engineer at GE and a US Army Veteran. He married Anna "Boots" Woodrum in Cleveland, OH. David is survived by his wife Anna "Boots" Kleinfeld and brother Thomas (Sharon) Kleinfeld of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents. David was a good man who loved his wife Ann. He has stood by her through her ordeal of Alzheimer's, taking very good care of her. He had to learn to cook & clean house, took pride in clipping coupons, doing the shopping and many other chores without any one hearing a complaint. Ann's sisters and brother's families are truly thankful for all of Dave's loving care and for looking out for Ann's well-being. In his younger days, he and Ann enjoyed camping & hiking. David also loved tennis, target shooting, drawing and riding his Harley. David worked many years for General Electric as a tool designer having earned an Engineer's degree after serving in the Army. Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2012 from 5-7pm followed by services at 7pm all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Military honors to follow the services. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Assoc. which can be brought to the visitation/service or mailed to the funeral home.
